Picture Yourself Here!

Over 30 tennis courts have been taken out of service for development purposes.

Our Mission

A group of tennis and pickleball fans have noticed the loss of facilities in the Boulder County area.

The unmet need for additional pickleball courts is also well documented. The University of Colorado women’s tennis team has lost their home. Young high school players, USTA youth players, wheelchair players, league, and senior players are all in need of new facilities.

A group of former CU players, parents, and weekend players are actively searching for land for a new tennis center.

Our long-term goals are to bring youth tournaments, possible CU women's team matches, and even a nationally sponsored professional tournament to the area! There will also be an emphasis on helping disadvantaged youth gain access to tennis.

Following the successful model in Parker, Colorado of a public/private partnership land was found jointly owned by Louisville, Lafayette, and Boulder county next to the ball fields east of Louisville. This land, although approved for sporting fields, has sat vacant for over 12 years.

The tennis center would need approximately half of the land for tennis center and the other half could be used for fields, should a group raise the funds for the project.

How Do We Plan to Do It?

The city would provide the land and infrastructure, while the Center group would provide the building - which would include the courts, restrooms, and offices for the center - at no cost to the city.

The center will be available to the public for a fee, similar to the use of a recreation center and memberships would be available to those who frequent the center often.

The proposed plan would have 8 pickleball courts, 8 indoor courts, and 12 outdoor courts. You can view the draft of these plans by clicking on the image, below.

We cannot do this without your support!

The idea is only in the first phase and talks with the cities and counties have stalled.

We hope that those of you who recognize the need for this facility will
write to your representatives asking them to investigate this proposal and work to use the land for sports and not let it continue to sit vacant and unused.

Links to the representatives are listed below.

Without your help, tennis and pickleball will suffer:
